Audio Video Set Up

Audio Video Set Up

Set Up

  1. Navigate to the Setting Icon on the Left Side Bar
  2. Open Audio/Video
  3. Choose Audio & Video Inputs
  4. Use The "Test Connection" Button If Issues Occur

If you are having issues with your connection please navigate to the Audio/Video Setup icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. This will enable you to select and test the correct camera, microphone and speakers. Please be sure to always allow permissions from Muzie.Live when prompted.

This is also where you can test your connection which will run a quick program to determine if you are set up correctly for your lesson. The test connection button can also determine how much latency your network is experiencing and can warn you if your connection is expected to perform poorly. If you have any questions you may send this report to support for assistance.

If you are having any connection quality issues, while in a lesson, please select the button ‘reset connection’ at the top of the lesson screen. This will refresh your audio and video connection.

Best Practices

Muzie.Live is designed specifically for music lessons. We understand Audio is the most important part of your music lessons, that is why we handle Audio and Video separately. This allows us to borrow bandwidth from the video to increase audio quality.

Each participant in a lesson is allocated up to 8Mbps per second. To put this into perspective most platforms assign 1-2 Mbps per second. This allows for a more stable and high-quality connection.

We do recommend understanding your baseline network connection strength. Network strength can be affected by not only your subscription with your provider but weather or bandwidth allocations.

In Group Rooms you will be able to see your connection strength in the top right hand corner of the lesson page. Keep in mind, just because your connection is great does not mean all attendees have optimal strength.

To test your Internet Speed:

  1. Go to Google.com.
  2. Search for internet speed test.
  3. Tap or click Run Speed Test.
  4. Anything less than 8 Mbps Download and Upload you could start noticing granular video and connectivity issues.

To increase your connection we recommend turning off or disconnecting devices connected to the internet during your lesson time such as Google homes/Alexas, TVs, phones, or laptops. You can also move your lesson space closer to your router or connect directly with an ethernet cable.

We hope you have a great lesson! If you have any questions, please contact our support team through the help chat or email user.support@muzie.live.
