The Muzie.Live file sharing system allows you to easily create a library of your content to share with your students. Upload Files, lesson materials, images, gifs, videos, and audio. There are no file size or storage limitations. All your content (including Whiteboards, Clips, and Assignments can be found in the ‘Files & Resources’ tab).
How to Create a Folder:
In the top right hand corner of the Files & Resources Page, there is a set of tools. Please choose the Create a Folder Icon. Create a name for your folder and select save. You can create as many folders as you need for your chosen organization system including hosting folders within folders.
How to Upload a File:
In the top right hand corner of the Files & Resources Tab, there is a set of tools. Please choose the Upload Icon, this will take you to your computer’s files where you can select the file(s) you would like to upload. To upload content into a specific folder, open the folder prior to selecting the Upload Icon.
How to Move, Rename, Duplicate, Delete, Download or View Files:
Right click or select the three dots in the corner for more file options to manage and organize your files such as Move, Rename, Duplicate, Delete, Download or View.
Changing View:
You can change the view of your file manager to either Grid or List View depending on your preference. The default is List view but if you prefer a different visual of your files, please select the Grid/List Icon in the top right hand corner tools within the Files & Resources Tab.
Organization Best Practices:
As a best practice, we recommend organizing and hosting all of your teaching content within the Files & Resources Tab so it is ready to be easily shared, added to Assignments or turned into a collaborative Whiteboard.
Feel free to organize your materials in the way you're most familiar with, however we typically recommend creating folders by Topic versus by student. With a Topic organization system, your student’s materials will be more organized and more easily accessible.
For example: If you create a folder named ‘Major Scales’ your student(s) will know to find their Major Scale materials within that folder. You can also easily direct your student(s) to where they might find those materials as the folders will be organized the same for everyone.
However, if you decide to folder by student for example ‘Billy J’s Content’, each student’s content will be in different places and Billy will not have his materials organized. It will also be more difficult to update or unshare outdated resources for all your students.
Muzie.Live Preloaded Content Folders:
As you begin organizing your folders, you might notice some preloaded folders with content ready to go for your lessons. The Muzie.Live PRO account includes access to our proprietary Games, Activities, and Worksheets for Music Notation, Piano, Percussion, Guitar, Cello, Violin, Bass and general music. These include a range of activities from Escape Rooms to Major Scale Worksheets. To learn more about this content please see here.
